Last May I had to do an emergency landing with my Stinson. Four or five miles away from an airport I had just departed, I felt a sudden vibration, so I headed back to the airport, and my engine quit while I was in the downwind pattern. I managed to successfully land the plane and walk away OK. (God was with me that day). The repaired engine is back on the plane and it looks like I should be back flying by the end of the week or soon afterwards. This past Saturday I first saw the busted crank that had broken, causing the vibration. Thought you would like to see photos of this crankshaft. Hope you are all doing well.
